When we all returned to Georgetown for the fall semester, my closest girl friends and I met at Tony and Joe’s for a girls’ night out dinner to recap our summers. We had all passed by it while running to the monuments or dining at nearby restaurants. So naturally, we made a reservation ahead of time and decided to give it a whirl! Here are my thoughts.
Name: Tony & Joe’s Seafood Place
Location: 3000 K Street NW (Washington, D.C.)
Time: 7 pm on Saturday
Order: Caesar salad with grilled salmon filet
Price: $17
Review: A light and flavorful dinner, paired perfectly with their complementary bread. The salmon was absolutely delicious and well made, but the greens and dressing weren’t exactly divine. I wouldn’t exactly call the salad filling, either. While it provided a lovely ambiance (hello, it’s on the waterfront!), Tony and Joe’s did not wow me. If I were to go again, I’d probably order something else to give it another shot. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this particular salad, but my other friends enjoyed their entrées.
