Banana Republic is one of my favorite brands because I always associate it with stylish, durable, sleek and professional (or casual) clothing. You can go into a Banana Republic store and find business casual clothes as easily as beach clothes. Few stores offer that unique variety. I will admit that at times it can get pricey, but BR offers wonderful sales that make staple pieces affordable.
One of my pencil skirts is from Banana Republic and I love it because ‘work’ clothes can be tricky to shop for for my small frame. I’ve also found trendy and durable jewelry, along with high-quality faux fur pieces.
My absolute favorite pattern is leopard and I always grab pieces in that design whenever possible. So the moment I laid my eyes on this featured blouse at BR, I knew I had to have it. It was in the petite sale section, aka my treasure trove. When I saw it, I pictured it paired with other prints, professional pants or skirts, jeans, or even white shorts. I tried it on and it fit perfectly. It’s such a fitted yet loose blouse that lends itself for so many different looks, especially because it’s made of quality polyester that looks like silk. It’s also super flattering.
The listed price online is $59.99 but they had a 40% off sale in-store and I snatched it for $29.25! That’s quite the steal if you ask me.
I recently wore it with black jeans, black flats, a black faux leather jacket and pink/orange Kate Spade gem earrings for a networking event. Throughout the night, I received compliments on my blouse and ensemble.
