While shopping for bathroom essentials to move myself into NYC this summer, I came across the Fekkai Glossing Shampoo at a Marshall’s. I’ve always wanted to use Fekkai shampoo and conditioner, but never bought it for myself because it is on the pricey side. But since Marshall’s had it half-off, I figured ‘why not?’ I purchased it about a week and a half ago, so my review will discuss my recent experiences with it.
For starters, the shampoo smells wonderful, as with all Fekkai products. I’m a big fan of the olive oil styling cream. So anyway, I got really excited when I first applied it to my hair because few things make me as happy as delicious shampoos. However, I was pretty disappointed that three washes later, my hair didn’t feel super clean. Granted, I had a fair amount of hairspray in, but still felt that my locks should have ended up squeaky clean.
I’ve used the shampoo for every wash over the last nine days, but haven’t been very satisfied. For some reason, my hair doesn’t feel 100% clean like it does with most other shampoos (professional and drugstore alike). I accidentally bought the Fekkai Color Care Shampoo instead of conditioner, so I’ll be sampling that once my Glossing bottle ends and discuss my thoughts on that product as well.
I purchased my shampoo at Marshall’s, but you can buy yours at Ulta, Amazon, CVS, Duane Reade, or other sites. If you’ve used this product or recommend another Fekkai product, please let me know! Xoxo
Added on July 8: This shampoo caused breakouts on both my face and back from all of the glossing ingredients and oils. I do not recommend this product if you have oily skin or are prone to breakouts.
