Even though I lived right by Jack’s Wife Freda last summer, I never went. For some unknown reason, I just didn’t make it a point to go and I’ve regretted it ever since. So when my friend suggested we grab dinner there the other night, I jumped at the opportunity. Good food and good company? Sounds like my kind of night.
The place is SO adorable, quirky and charming. We ate outside and enjoyed the idyllic evening breeze while indulging in some serious people (and dog) watching. Now I know what all the hype is about Jack’s Wife Freda!

Review: OMG. I hadn’t had steak in over a year and a half, but I don’t think I’ve had steak this good in about three years. Seriously, this was incredible! The sandwich is a whole lot of chopped skirt steak with garlic butter on a small sourdough roll. I opted for the french fries instead of the arugula salad (surprise, surprise…). Honestly, this was divine. I call it gourmet comfort food. I was stuffed after I ate every last bite, but not the repugnant, queasy kind of stuffed. It was the satisfied, accomplished kind of stuffed. I can’t wait to come here again one day!
