I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Van Leeuwen’s Ice Cream

June 23, 2014 by anc49

Photo via Lately I’ve become an ice cream addict. Don’t get me wrong—I’ve always enjoyed the beloved dessert, but I’ve usually opted for cake and pastries instead. Now that temperatures are heating up, ice cream sounds better than ever. (I’ll also admit that I became quite friendly with two guys named Ben and Jerry this past semester at Georgetown… sophomore slump, anyone?) Ever since last summer I’ve wanted to try Van Leeuwen’s ice cream but never actually did. Luckily for […]

Celebrity Style Inspiration: Kate Hudson

June 19, 2014 by anc49

Photo via This week’s style star is Kate Hudson. From How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days to Something Borrowed, this all-American girl next door knows how to rock the red carpet just as easily as the city cement. Hudson dresses appropriately for her body and complexion, something that all women are dying to master.  With her golden locks and sun-kissed skin, she always exudes radiance and confidence—probably her greatest accessories. Even when she’s pregnant, her style doesn’t miss a beat. It’s […]

Dean & Deluca Sushi: A Review

June 17, 2014 by anc49

I love sushi, but I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not adventurous with it. Usually I stick to my typical salmon, cream cheese and avocado roll, or I’ll settle for any combination of two of those three ingredients. I’ll try sushi with tuna, shrimp or salmon, but I don’t go for crab, eel, etc. I know, super boring. That being said, I’m sort of a (self-appointed) connoisseur of this very specific roll. Everywhere I go, I try it and […]

‘The Fault in Our Stars’: A Movie Review

June 16, 2014 by anc49

Photo via Disclaimer: This is not a review full of spoilers. Here I will only offer my thoughts and recommend it based on certain criteria. You must watch the movie for yourself and enjoy it in all of its pure, unfiltered, brand new glory. Everybody and their mother has been talking about The Fault in our Stars. Seriously—everyone I know has either seen it or is planning on seeing it. Although I never read the book, I’ve been wanting to see it since […]

It’s a 10 Miracle Deep Conditioner Plus Keratin: It Really Is a Miracle

June 15, 2014 by anc49

Photo via I’m a sucker for deep conditioners and hair masks, especially since I started coloring my hair. I’m also a sucker for the brand It’s a 10—their products really are a 10. Several years ago I got hooked on their miracle leave-in product. I still use it every time I wash my hair to detangle it. It works wonders, miracles even, and smells divine. So one day when I was shopping at Ulta to replace it, I found this miracle […]

Sarabeth’s: (Another) Review

June 15, 2014 by anc49

Yup—I’m back at my favorite brunch spot in Manhattan: Sarabeth’s. What’s that old phrase? All roads lead to… Sarabeth’s? Probably not, but it should be. Anyway, my friend and I met up at Sarabeth’s for brunch yesterday because she had never been and I’ll gladly convert anyone to that magical place. Surprisingly, I branched out and ordered a new breakfast item! So here’s the scoop. Name: Sarabeth’s Location: 40 Central Park South Time: 11 am on a Saturday Order: Skim latte ($4.50) […]
