Behold: the best cheesecake in the city. And it’s only a block away from me! When I first moved here, I consistently walked by Eileen’s Special Cheesecake, whether on my way to work or on my way back from runs to the Hudson. I’ll admit that I originally assumed it was a rinky-dink average cheesecake place. I mean, if you’re special and famous then you don’t have to say it… Right? Well, I was wrong! Eileen’s is incredibly well-known for its out of this world cheesecake. Although I will forever be faithful to my mother’s flawless and unparalleled New York style cheesecake, Eileen’s puts up a strong fight.

Review: So delicious! Although I enjoy caramel in a sundae, I’m not the world’s biggest fan so I probably didn’t appreciate it as much as I should have. The pecans added a solid crunch and texture, while the chocolate cake brought in moist flavor and consistency. Since this place is well-known for its cheesecake, I will say that I have sampled two cheesecakes: cookies & cream and cherry. I loved them both! They’re the ideal, well-sized cheesecake your sweet tooth always craves! See them for yourself below!
