Every girl has celebrity style inspirations, whether or not she knows it. We all look at women on the red carpet or photographed in fashion magazines and admire their secret sartorial ways. How did she pair those two pieces together? Could I ever wear that on the streets? We do our best to shop similar pieces and make the most from what’s in our closets.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve flipped through the pages of InStyle and Lucky and wondered how these fashion icons do what they do. Through their inspiration, I myself have become bolder and more creative with my own ensembles. I’m forever grateful to them for that positive influence because the best part about personal style is experimenting. Why not? You have nothing to lose!

I’ve thought about it a lot recently and realized that my fashion icons are Olivia Palermo, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lucy Hale, Kate Bosworth and Blake Lively (just to name a handful). So as part of a new series, Celebrity Style Inspiration, I will spotlight my favorite fashionistas with a gallery of my favorite looks of theirs. I already know this will be insanely difficult because they all rock their own diverse looks and barely ever wear outfits I’d condemn.

This week’s style star is Olivia Palermo. In my opinion, Olivia Palermo is one of the most stunning and chic women alive. Every time I see her photographed, I’m in awe of her taste and imagination with couture. The only habit of hers I disagree with is wearing fur, for ethical reasons. Olivia’s style is elegant, modern, inventive and effortless. It’s no wonder that she’s a guest editor for Piperlime. She’s also my hair inspiration, but that’s another post…
