As you might already know, I’ve tried every skin care product under the sun—especially for acne. While I think that the Dr. Murad line works well on my skin, I’m starting to think that my skin has grown accustomed to the Murad spot treatment so it’s not showing such great results like before. One day I went into Sephora looking for a new spot treatment and an employee recommended a handful of products, including this Origins Super Spot Remover. I’ve tried Origins products before, but never for acne. However, this one is a salicylic acid gel, so I figured it would be strong enough.
I’ve been using this Origins spot treatment for a few weeks now and must say I LOVE IT. It’s pretty potent, so a little goes a long way. It’s great at drying and reducing the swelling of any blemish. I will warn you and say that it can make the applied area a little red at first, but the coloring goes away relatively soon. I wouldn’t recommend mixing it with other acne products just because it definitely works well on its own and can create dryness, redness, or irritation.
I purchased my Origins gel at Sephora, but you can buy a bottle at Origins, Amazon, or other sites. Compared to other spot treatments, it’s a little pricey at $15, but can last you a while and shows results quickly.
If you’ve used this gel or recommend another acne spot treatment, please let me know! Xoxo
